Urgent ftp help please

Client has just given me his ftp details login etc, I've logged in to his folder, I can see other folders of images already in there (not mine), how do I put my folder in there?

I'm on a mac, tried drag n drop, copy and paste, nothing lets me add my folder.

Any ideas please, I really don't want to have to go back to client asking how to do it :|

What are you using to log on?

I'm guessing its just the native program that comes with the Mac, I'm just clicking the link in their email and a dialogue box opens asking for password, fill that in and Im then looking at their folder.

I don't know how the Mac works so i cant really help. Here are some instructions i just found on Google:

When it asks for an address you will need to specify the address the client sent you. It will be in the format ftp://ftp.xxxx.org or just ftp.xxxxx.com

Thanks Dini, but I've got that far, its the getting my folder into theirs that I'm having the problem with. I'm thinking its some sort of permissions thing :shrug:

Get cyberduck. It's the best ftp client for the mac there is. Might take some of the pain out of it.

I've never used any ftp client on the mac other than cyberduck or ftp from within the terminal window. Within that you have to know your mkdirs, puts and how to move between directories. It's a right pain in comparison.

FTP via finder is read only, you need an app as above

Thank you guys, Can't believe I didn't think of using Cyberduck, I use it for all my other ftp stuff, just thought this was something different :bonk:
