Hi all,

Anyone know the best place I can order a D810 this afternoon with guaranteed delivery for tomorrow?

I've a wedding Saturday and my backup D700 has died.

Thanks,

Stu

Depending on your location, your best bet could
be to be there when it goes over the counter?

In case of success, that won't leave you much time
to set it up and use it immediately on a job!?!?!

Most big dealers offer next day delivery, but there will always be the vagaries of the royal mail and courier companies.
RMSD is usually reliable, but few months back had one delivery a day late because the mail plane suffered a mechanical

Presumably you can't get to a shop?

John Lewis do next day to pick up from their shops or a lot of Waitrose stores, used this option a few times successfully

A D810 as a back-up ??? Compared to a D700 is a bit of an overkill isn't it

So - why not go to the MPB website, who do guarantee next day delivery, and buy one of the ELEVEN D700 cameras they show for sale :)

You could buy 4 or more for the price of a D810 - more than enough backup then :D

Dave

Good chance to upgrade. Why not go to a shop and just buy one.

You've until 18:30 this evening for guaranteed delivery tomorrow from WEX.

Thanks for all the suggestions, working today so unable to head to a shop.

Phoned and email around, had a very fast response from Clifton Camera's, ordered before 4pm and it arrived at my place of work for 10:30am.

Need to get out and play with it tonight, it'll become my main camera with my other D700 moving to a backup, guess I'll have to put off getting the a7rII I wanted.

Good work - nice to know which companies make the effort.

Yes, cost me £11 for next day before 1 but it was well worth it. Very impressed with the service there.

Not told the wife I've just dropped £2400 on a new camera yet though :D lol

hope she does not find out you can buy it for 1850 pounds new

There was a couple of places at a cheaper price, but one advised they weren't a grey import but had a 4-5 day delivery time, then other just said they couldn't get it to me on time and wouldn't answer if it was a uk model.

Must say, only having a single battery as the backups hadn't arrived I was worried but it performed amazingly all day. 34'c on Sat, intense sunlight and it just blew me away with the performance over the D700. The battery finally died around 10pm from an 8am start and having taken around 1300 photos.

Certainly the right choice to make going for the D810!

the 1850 price is probably grey import.... portus digital are 1809, and panamoz are 1789 ..(top two results on a google search) , however both of those are grey, and neither does next day delivery

yeah but we all know how many grey places make out that they are in the uk - its hard to see any proper uk based dealer doing a D810 for sub 2k unless its second hand or ex demo or something
