urgent advice

have just found a juvenile godfinch in an empty tin in my garage

have brought it inside and put it on kitchen worktop directly under a light (the light is in the ceiling) in attempt to keep it warm, put some nyger seed in the tin and some water

my intention is to keep it in doors over night so its temperature is kept up and release into the garden in the morning

it does appear to be breathing quite heavy, has turned its head and buried it in feathers on its back....going sleep ??

anything else i can do??

Best thing would be to keep it warm like your doing. There is nothing much you can do.

awwwwww it just died, quite sad but there was nothing i could do

you did all you could, in my experience when growing up we did this on a couple of occasions and both with the same results. I think the shock gets to them, thats nature I guess.
