I have some old photos which may need to be printed a little larger than the originals. Is it better to uprezz at scan time or do it later in Photoshop? (absolute max of 2x but mostly less).

I would think it depends on scanner software, but there are some softwares designed for uprezzing so they might produce a better result.
Theres Perfect resizer 7 (genuine fractals) claimed to be one of the best for resizing, although when I did a side by side comparrison with photoshop at 400% the difference was negligible.
Personally in your position I'd use photoshop.

Thanks for that Wayne, I have successfully used PS for uprezzing normal digital images before (using the 120% method) so I guess I will stick to that.
