Uploading to Smugmug.

Can anyone tell me the best type off file to upload when ive finished in lightroom with the raw file they say i can upload, Jpeg,Gif, or Png.

Assuming its a photo, you want jpeg. Gif is primarily for line art (like a logo, for example). There's a good overview of image file types here: http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/different-image-formats/

I would say save the image in png format as it can be then used wherever you want to.
