Uploading Photos

Hi

I am trying to upload photos into my gallery and have gone through all the stages ok except that when I press the submit/upload button the upload seemns to start but goes on and on for ages. Is this normal or should the upload be more or less immediate. I think the first time I did it which is quite a while ago was pretty quick.

Would welcome any help

ps my picture files are within the 200kb specified

I uploaded one about 25 mins ago and loaded pretty sharpish.
If you are certain that the image is within 200kb, are you sure that it is no longer than 800px on its longest side?

Yes I folowed the info given in that link and before loading images onto a DVD disc I resized them to 800px. Just wondering if it is because they are on a blank DVD disc instead of a CD. I am not good with all this computer stuff. Ok with basic production of my prints etc. !!!
