Hi

Don't know why but my pictures if I upload them here, they get a bit blueish, but when I see them normal size they are alright. Checked on different monitors, tvs, pcs they are fine, only when resized by a site or someone.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I think it's something to do with your colour space settings, I'm not sure what you are using but flickr exif says 'uncalibrated'
You want to be on sRGB from start to finish.

In photoshop cs6 when I save as my pictures at color section ICC profile: ProPhoto RGB is ticked. Everywhere the sRGB is ticked.

In lightroom color space ProPhoto RGB as well, I just changed it to sRGB and hoping for the best

Thanks

If you're saving them out for the web, it's best to use LR's export function and in the file settings set Jpeg/sRGB. And in PS use "save for web" with the same settings and the "embed color space" box checked.

Embedding Pro Photo will make everything very desaturated when viewed on line on any device that doesn't use ICC profiles... of which there are many still around, including browsers. It should be OK now you've switched to sRGB. However, the image you posted in here, had no colour profile at all... which will create it's own similar problems.

This is stretching my understanding a bit...
The exif on Flick'r shows the color space to be RGB, and the PS editing space to be ProPhoto... the image displays fine on flick'r. If I save the attachment to my desktop and I use "get info" it shows the color space as RGB. I *THINK* all of this is fine.

However, if I open the attachment with an Exif Viewer I get "no or invalid exif header," and this is where I think the issue is (for this case anyway). The exif and color space tag (if it was tagged) was stripped.
But the thing I'm not quite sure of is, most browsers treat untagged files as sRGB. That should be fine for an image that is sRGB and the image *should* display correctly... what am I missing?

Interestingly, the Flick'r exif for my DSLR images shows no color space information and the exif for other cameras (V2) shows sRGB...
Either way they all check out as having sRGB embedded.

Thanks sk66. I changed in both Lightroom and Photoshop and keep my eyes on the setup. My Lightroom originally was on ProPhoto...

That's fine. But in PS make sure the "embed color space" option is selected when using "save for web" and "save as." That's the last step (LR embeds the tag automatically).

PS's "save as" only works for this if your working color space is set to sRGB. I suggest that you set all of the "color settings" color management options to "ask" in PS. That way if there is ever an issue of mismatched color space you will get an alert and you will know for sure what you're working with.
