Hi,
No I am havng no fun at all! I followed Matty's instructions and used the code he suggested and all that came out was IMG. Even if I get the whole URL how do you get to the photo?! When I type this post the URL is below, when I preview it it disappears!

edit your text to take out the initial http:// and delete the last [IMG]

Thanks to all for the suggestions, I can make it work now! All i need to understand now is how to make it a clickable link rather than showing the photo.

Yes I have read it several times! I got to my post above with a clickable link! I started this from first principals at about 2 this afternoon, wrestling with photoshop, folders, windows, uploading, p***ed off wife and consuming most of a bottle of Bin 53 Shiraz. I am nearly there, all I need to do now is to remember it all!

The problem arises because of the way that photobucket gives you links.

Is fine for a complete web page - but it isnt any good for an embedded photo link.

So, this works fine a web page link (opening a new page), but not for the image only.



If you take your first link and cut out the http options you get
"http://s978.photobucket.com/albums/ae268/duncan4303/20091029003001.jpg" which is a good image link.

Embed the image by putting
tags around that link, like this..

20091029003001.jpg



Now make that clickable by putting url links around it, (and go back to the photobucket page links rather than just the image url for the link.

Remove the spaces in the tags below to get it to work:
first the url link, then inside that the embedded image link
