Upload problem

I tried to upload a panoramic file of 1000x417 and it would not accept it. I reduced it slightly; to be under 1000, but it still won't have it. The rules say 1000x500 or smaller :shrug:
any advice anyone?

The gallery wont take images over 800 pixels.

We allow panoramic shots on the forum of that size, but not on the gallery

How do I put it straight into a post?

Open your pic at full size and right click on it - go to 'properties' which should give you the url- usually ends in .jpg

Highlight and copy the url then paste it into your post here with the

tags at either end -no spaces.

That's it.

Me TOO !!
I am still having problems uploading pictures, despite Marcel trying to help the other day - 2 pictures, one is 799x284 and 82.3KB, the other is 790x526, and 85.1KB - I have tried and tried, and keep getting told that the images are too big !

What am I doing wrong ?
Can I email the images over to one of you staff members to post in my gallery, or at least see if I am doing something wrong?
