Upgrading from Canon 450d.. what to get?

Push the drive button on the top and use the control on the back to change from continuous etc, I think you can leave the info on the screen, by pressing the info button a couple of times although don't hold me to that as I never had it on mine

Thanks, but it doesn't turn off as you but your head close as theres no sensor. was a nice feature I thought.

Am loving it though... just need to get and and give it a test run!!

Yep it's definitely a proper camera Well done on getting it!! Now get some photos!!

Nothing wrong with the old camera - but this certainly has more 'tank like' properties

Bit late to the party here, but in my experience (and it's only my opinion) the 550D is fantastic at high ISO and easily better than the 450D (I had one as a backup for a while)

EDIT: Just spotted you got a 40D. Lovely camera, well done

I'm thinking of chopping in my old 450 and buying a 40d as a second body. Although the 450 was my first camera so I have a slight attachment to it. It's still only done less than 10k shots as well!

So I say 40d as an upgrade.
