upgrade

am thinking of upgrading from eos350d ...... i do not particularly want or need video , prefer to stay on the canon line ,don't mind used equipment as long as it is in good nick ,,,what would you suggest ,

It would depend on your budget and what you want to photograph.

Lots of choice available, depends on budget, but I'd certainly look at the 40D or 50D as an upgrade to your 350D, both in size, weight, build and FPS.

There are obviously the newer versions of the xxxD range available. You could also jump to a 7D depending again on budget...

Best bet would be to set your budget and then see what falls in this range and go from there...

for what you want to use it for i would say the 7D would be the best for the money with it having a faster frame rate and improved auto focusing
once you get beyond the 7D prices start to climb quite significantly but as andyred already say there's nothing wrong with 40 or 50D and are quite an improvement over the 350d, a good one can be picked up at quite a bargain now but if budget allows it would be the 7D
