upgrade to DSLR

My hubbie's hinted at chipping in with the cost of a new camera (yippee!).

I've looked at specs/reviews for both Canon 1000D and 450D and still can't decide.

Currently got a Canon Powershot A70. The main reason for going Canon is he has an old EOS300 gathering dust with a couple of EF lenses that I can reuse.

What are peoples thoughts?

450D has cashback and I think makes it slightly cheaper than the 1000D.

1000D is leftover bits of 350D and 400D.

Go into a shop and try them, some will feel better than others - but if you do go with Canon you will have a head start with the lenses!

Yup don't fixate on a brand until you have handled them.

Try all makes Canon, Nikon, sony, olympus, pentax and see what feels best for you.

All the cameras can take the shot , you make it great.

Hello, out of the 2 i would choose the 450D, better in the long run, regards Damian.

Yup don't fixate on a brand until you have handled them.

Try all makes Canon, Nikon, sony, olympus, pentax and see what feels best for you.

All the cameras can take the shot , you make it great.

Don't limit yourself to one make of camera just because of a couple of old lenses

I think, if you've got him in that mood, you should sting him for a 40D
