I like to shoot all sorts of subjects - from sport to landscape - and whilst I'm pleased with my current equipment, I would like to upgrade. The question is "what"?
Currently:
30D
EF-S 18-55 f3.5-5.6 IS
EF 50mm f1.8 II
Sigma 70-200 f2.8 EX DG HSM II
Now, the upgrade decision:
i) Simply upgrade my "weakest" lens - the 18-55 IS - probably to a Tamron 17-50 f2.8.
or
ii) Push my budget and go for a larger sensor camera now, probably a used 1D mk2.
Unfortunately, the the first option means buying a lens I won't be able to use when I eventually upgrade to a larger sensor camera (something I definitely will do). The second option means I'll have to revert to the 30D/18-55 for wider shots until I can budget a wider EF lens (possibly a 17-40 f4L) to use with the new camera.
Can someone please make my mind up for me or find a way that allows me to have my cake and eat it please? Much obliged.
