i have elements 7 and 10 and cs4 and 5 extended, use elements alot because its easy to use and does alot for the money, cs5 has a little more than cs4, elements 10 does pritty much everything, cs5 has nice little features like setting up action(setting up high pass sharpen using layers and things like that) at the press of one button which can save lots of time.
is it worth the extra, depends on how much you will use it, elements 10 for the price is amazing and may be worth looking at that.
and camera raw is better on cs5 then in elements,
maybe abother option is lightroom 3 and elements 10(which will be cheaper than cs5)
another option is dowload the three trial of both and buy the one you like. http://forums.techsoup.org/cs/commu...toshop-elements-9-vs-photoshop-cs5.aspx?cg=sp
I had Elements 9 for a few months but after buying a few books on portrait retouching and compositing etc. I sold it and bought CS5 as there were too many things missing from Elements to be able to follow the books properly.
