Hi all, I currently have a Canon 50D with the Canon 17-55 2.8 lens and a nifty fifty. I mainly shoot dance and theatre in low light but also use the camera as a walk around for holidays etc... I am looking to upgrade but am stuck on what to do. The 2 options I have worked out are ...
1. Upgrade to full frame and buy a Canon 5D Mk III, I will then have to get new lenses so would sell the 17-55 and was looking at 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 both mark 1 lenses.
2. Stick to crop and upgrade to a 7D II and keep the 17-55, invest in the 70-200 2.8 IS II and maybe a wide angle lens or a prime
Option one would give the the advantages of full frame which would hopefully help me with my low light theatre shots but option 2 gives me newer technology and faster AF for tracking the dancers and a faster burst and is a bit cheaper or for a similar price as option 1 I could add the versatility of another prime or wide angle lens.
Both of these options would involve buying used which I have no problem with. Just cant decide which would be the better option.
Thanks for any help you can give
