Just looking for a bit of advice really from anyone with any experience with these phones, as said Im due an upgrade and cant decide between these two, Im not bothered about camera quality (funnily enough I have a good camera) but like to use my phone for emails and the calender and the obvious things like texting etc.

Any advice on what to go for would be muchos appreciatos.:)

I'd go for the nokia, but thats because i've had nokias all my life and nothing beats them in my eyes.

I have the nokia e63 and it is much better than a blackberry

Personally I like the BB solution, probably because I just don't get on with Symbian. But being a 'business' device everything extra usually costs on the BB whereas there are plenty of free Symbian apps.
I like the Itunes sync with the BB but don't like the inability to read PDF docs that are moved onto the device only when they arrive as a mail attachment for instance.
Have to say I didn't think I would like my BB (always been nokia)but really do prefer it and wouldn't go back.

The wife has a bb curve and she loves it I am thinking of getting one my self when my new phone is due in sept.

Dave, really we need to know what your requirements are. Will you be using it primarily for email or calls, how much the contract will cost with each etc.

Personally I'm a big fan of the blackberry bold. But it may not suit you.

I have an E71 and am very impressed. Lots of free or inexpensive applications. The capability to watch iPlayer and other intensive video is a big plus but for me the built-in GPS is wonderful. No need to be connected to a network for it to work and free downloadable Nokia Maps.

Its a great business phone too and the Switch-Mode means you can treat it as a personal phone too by simply changing the appearance of the "desktop" and functions of the softkeys.

Its a huge improvement on the earlier E61.

Agreed that the camera is no great shakes but if I want to take a half-decent picture I wouldn't use a camera-phone.

i have a e71 and I really like it. couple of points

- it doesnt really do proper 'push' email like a bb. you can however download an application called mail for exchange which has the option of setting it to sync permanently, or every 15,30,45 etc minutes.

- the battery life can be quite poor if you leave it in 3G mode and have the permanent sync set. But really, there is no need to have it set to 3G all the time.

apart from that it is an excellent phone. seems pretty stable, and well built.
