Splash pages, completely unnecessary. Another obstacle between your photos and the visitor. Change your title tag to say something other than 'Portfolio'. You're photos are great.

Agreed. Ditch the splash page, waste of space and extra navigation that isn't required (if anyone ever bookmarks your site, they'll bookmark the 'real' home page anyway).

Remove it and change the tag line from portfolios to Scott Leeson Photography on what should be the first page people arrive at at your are there.

Great site though, like the simplicity :thumbs:
 
Splash page is a huge no no IMHO puts lots off serves no real purpose and yours is plain ..... the site is ok but not WOW which I reckon you should go for you have some great shots and there fore talnet this needs to be shown off the site is almost a ho hum samey style try something more out there to grab and hold attention ..

Sorry if this overly critical but think of me as a customer which is how I look at sites like this... also the prices page is somewhat redundant and the contact page sghould NOT have your e-mail so visible a form is better with number displayed and adress if you use it and short form to place query etc .... you will be spammed into kingdom come with the mail so open
 
Its very sparse for my liking. I think you could maybe use the whitespace better- not adding more, but looking at what is there and how it uses the area you've given it.

For example, if you're going to use thumbnails, to maybe arrange them in a grid or a list, and possibly add a byline with date, location or job to give a little context. I'm not a fan of the two banners at the top, either- do you need both? I'd combine prices and contact too.

Sorry if this is a little critical- I'm ill at home today and thought I'd offer up some advice!
