up to date football squad lists where?

That's because you only take about eight photos a match you lazy sod! :D

He only ever has 8 worth saving Mark

Jesting apart, I find adding captions takes not much longer "long hand" than code replacements if you know how to operate a keyboard!. I admit if it's teaming it down it can save seconds but as G says taking extra software out of the equasion can help too!.
Yes I'm a bit of a ludite but my captions are also varied which saves time at the other end on editing!!

Looks interesting

I currently use photomechanic with code replacements for the players only, I have some auto completes setup aswell, celebrated scoring for, battles with, things like that and find it useful. Would be interesting to see how this software compares

Are things like 'is tackled by', 'challenges for the ball with' etc really worth it though?

I just wonder if they make any diff what so ever. Surely just the names would be good enough except for things like

xxx scores his sides opening goal
xxx saves from a xxx shot

As with many tools it'll be a matter of personal preference. Some people will find this useful and hence its worth doing so credit to the programmer.

Definitely curious to see how it develops and how folks use it in real terms. Personally and at this stage i'm more than happy with the efficiency and speed of my workflow and can type a couple of words faster than the next guy (I have worked in admin, so figures). I'm also happy with LR4 as a one-app solution for editing, captioning, resizing and sending as necessary.

Im happy to use Xnview to browse my images, can set custom size thumbnails and view the whole folder at once, select what i want and type alt+1 to open selected images into Photoshop Elements (full version doesnt do anything extra for what i need), crop, resize, impost XMP file with metadata, copyright info, bank and opersonal details, alter caption to suit individual image, save then FTP or email up to 20 images and all done at half time, same again at full time.
