recently took a picture of a black slate house sign which had some white etchings on it. Trouble is, when I zoom in to look at it there seems to be a blue glow around the white writing. Any ideas how to remove on CS4?

Cheers

yes, chromatic aberration nis the one. I cant post the pic at the mo cos im on mobile broadband and its terrible for uploading files onto the net

You can minimise CA with the 'lens correction', CA sliders if you go to Filter>>Distort>>Lens correction. If it's really bad, a bit of cloning will be required.

I presume CS4 is the same as CS3, which is what I've got.

Another quick fix if it's the only blue in the image is to use the hue/saturation, select blue from the drop down options and lower the saturation.
If theres other blues in the image you want to keep, you might be able to use the sponge tool set to desaturate and with a small size just take out the fringing (assuming the lens correction doesn't work)
