I've recently had a hard drive failure which led to me having to do a clean install of windows, and since I've reinstalled Photoshop I've noticed a few irritating problems which I'm not sure how to fix. The first is that when saving files as jpeg, the default quality setting is 8 rather than 12. When I had used PS previously it always used to be whatever the last setting I used was (which was always 12). Now I find if I don't notice it straight away I can edit a batch of images and save them at the wrong size, which means doing them all again (annoying!) Is there a way to stop this from happening? I've tried google but can't find anything that relates to this (most "solutions" say that it should be whatever setting you last used, but this is not the case for me).
The other issue is when saving presets in Camera Raw. When opening the location to save them in, rather than going straight to the correct location where the rest of my presets are saved, it defaults to my pictures folder and I have to then try to find the correct location (users>app data>roaming etc etc), which again is a PITA. How do I change the default path so it always opens in the right location?
If anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated as it's driving me nuts!
Thanks in advance
