Got a few lenses, nothing special just the Nikon 35mm 1.8G and a 50mm 1.8D also a Tamron zoom. Not used them in over a year or so, as I got rid of my old D80. I kept the primes just in case I got another body, but can't really see me doing so any time soon. I prefer compact cameras at the moment.

I was just wondering is there anything in the lens, that may seize up or stick with years of no use? Lenses are kept boxed in the cupboard.

I wouldn't imagine so. They wouldn't really have any reason to unless they were metal and exposed to weather. They should be fine.

No they shouldn't do so, if you wish to sell them in a shop or anything, they will check, but I didn't use my Nikon DSLR's and the lens for a long while of which I was too busy to go out and take images. When I next used it the lenses were perfectly fine, just as long as they haven't been dropped, exposed to outside weather or dampness, you should be fine :)

I think if they are boxed and stored in a clean dry place then you shouldn't have any problems.
