Waiting patiently in Gatwick airport for my flight and I am amazed at how many travellers are running for planes. Considering the weather we have been having I would have thought that people would have had more sense. Weather was so bad yesterday that I booked a hotel close to the airport. I know that not everyone would want to do this but at least leave early enough to allow for all eventualities...one family group has just passed with the family screaming at them that the gate has just closed :eek:....wtf.... reminds me of the scene from "home alone" :D
 
Ah ... the joy of airports :D
 
Today's mode of transport......what ever happened getting a jet.
 
I don't envy you flying today. My wife said it was very scary landing last night
 
Just flew back from Tenerife last night. People in airports amaze me. How many signs do they need to put up as you approach security telling you to take off watches, empty your pockets of change, phones keys etc, before people will actually listen. One man in front of us had to go through the scanner 3 times taking something new out of his pockets each time he was sent back. And then even though our flight was delayed by 2.5 hours, they still had to call names as we had boarded and 2 couples were missing. Bar I presume.
 
I have just landed and it was like being on a roller coaster........never got blew around so much on landing
 
Have you ever thought that they ewre delayed unintentionally? Not sure you can just accuse everyone who's late for a flight as organised.
 
I don't fly very often now but a few years ago I was making about a dozen flights a year and every time there was someone who appeared to be unaware of the restrictions on liquids//gels and other items in hand luggage and were amazed/annoyed that they are being told they cannot take them on board.

They're probably the same people who spend an hour filling a shopping trolley, 20 minutes queueing to pay, then another 10 looking for their purse/wallet after it's been rung through ... "did you think it was free love?"
