Can anyone recommend the best (read cheapest!!) place to unlock a Blackberry? Have seen places on Ebay offering the service for 99p. Anyone used these and are they any good?

Cheers in advance. (y)

It is my old company phone on Vodafone. I have the IMEI and PRD numbers.

Go to the GiffGaff website they tell you how

No they don't

All they give you is a load of referral links to various places that could unlock it.

So the OP would still have to pay and in the process GiffGaff would get paid for the referal

I paid £15 here in Inverness to have mine unlocked in one of those high street independent phone shops, bit more than i wanted to pay but got it done in moments.

depending on the age of the phone i'm sure there's an unlock tool to do it yourself

might have to do a bit of searching for it i think it was called BBunlock or blacberrytools

good luck....

Vodafone gave me the unlock code for my BB on request, as soon as the initial contract period was up.

All of my Blackberries were not locked to the network!.... Try a non Vodie sim! and you may well get a suprise..... :-)

That's a pity David... :( Still it was worth a crack! :)
I should point out however, that mine were both on O2 Ireland
