Okay, I'm having a senior moment (or two) here. I have decided to uninstall Elements 10 from my PC as it's been ages since I last used it - I'm a convert to Lightroom.

So, I open up the list of programmes in the control panel and .... it ain't listed :suspect: Hmmm, odd but not to be deterred I open Explorer and find the Elements 10 folder(s) and look for the uninstall application. Nope, don't see that either :suspect::suspect: Still not quite ready to admit defeat I open JS16 and hit the uninstall button but Elements isn't in the installed programmes list! Maybe I am beaten :gag:

I've had a good search around the hard drive and simply can't find the uninstaller.

Anyone know how to get rid of this programme?

Oh and just in case you're wondering ... Elements 10 is installed and working and it's a legal copy (I still have the discs).

Thanks for the suggestions folks, but it is still defiantly refusing to be found

CCleaner couldn't see it and the installer cleanup utility didn't help either - but thanks for the suggestions.

Using the original disc and selecting "remove" came up with a string of "location not found" errors so I'm thinking that the installation went wrong somewhere and that's why it's apparently invisible ... but working.

I think I'm going to have to just delete the folders in the program files folders and then tidy up the registry. Or I could just leave it alone

If you've got the discs, reinstall it / repair it, then you can de-activate it and hopefully uninstall it ...

How much space does it take up on your HDD and how desperate are you for that space? Personally, I would just delete the shortcut icon from the desktop and leave it be unless space is really at that much of a premium!

Probably the best way. Wouldn't touch those 3rd party "cleaners" with a bargepole.

I feel much the same way, but Revo Uninstaller, at least the paid pro version is used widely by many IT engineers. I have used it for at least five years and it has solved many problems for me including removing programmes which simply do not wish to be removed.:)

It doesn't take up much space on the hard drive and I'm not in need of the extra space - I have 82GB of 219GB free - but I do like to keep the computer "tidy".

For the time being though I think I'm just gonna leave it be and let it think it's beaten me ... then creep up on it again sometime in the future :D

I would do a reinstall with the discs. This should sort it as mentioned above.
