unidentified Lens

saw a guy at Oulton park yesterday with what I think was am Olympus camera and he had a lens on it that was about 2 feet long but only a couple of inches in diameter. Never seen one before and I cant find anything online about it, anybody know what it could have been.

Could have been an old preset lens, a 500/8 perhaps? Or the newer Samyang version:

don't think it was one of those, it was much longer and thinner, more like a telescope than a lens.

In that case it could have been a telescope connected with a t-mount

Could have been one of the old Zeiss long lenses, some of them where around 3ft or more long!!
