May as well join in. I take a fair few u/w photos when im not working using a 550D in a modified 450D ikelite housing. If i was buying from scratch now i'd get a Nauticam housing without doubt but it wasn't around at the time i bought my 450D. Usually using a 10-22mm lens/8" dome for wide or 60mm/f2.8 macro with flat port for macro. 2 x DS160 strobes.

Underwater photography is fun but ridiculously expensive. Often the camera body is the cheapest part of the whole setup!
..and yes, the Martin Edge book is well worth a read.
