Underused cameras not worth selling...

Even though I believe in film, I see no use for 35mm film compacts or these type of cameras...when digital compacts are cheap.:

I use my Konica Pop and Olympus Trip just for fun every so often, get some strange looks as I have a Canon 1Ds on my shoulder as I take a shot on a bright green film compact

 I used to buy compacts from 50p to £1.50 (Yashica T5) and the fun for me was saying to my wife "I've bought another camera for you" and her reply. We had so many compacts I had to stop and I can now pass by a Pentax Espio going for 10p

I think the main reason that my FM2n stays in the cupboard these days is the cost of colour film & processing. I really miss those simple analogue controls! The toughest thing with it is that you can't change the film-speed mid-roll, though.

If you want to do something in a hobby, you'll find the money..OK buy 2 pints of beer less every 3 weeks, or one packet of cigarettes less or instead of fish and chips use a roll of film, etc etc etc.....the cheapest, for a roll of film and dev and 24 or 36 shots scanned to jpgs and put onto CD is £4 total..

Dig it out, as Brian says, cut back slightly on some other luxury.

Even if you shot say half a dozen frames each week of a 36 exposure film....taking your time, enjoying the moments and the analogue feel of the FM2n, the cost spread over a 6 week period is negligable......such a shame to leave it "dying" in a cupboard.

Deving at home ( colour or B&W) is of course an initial outlay but long term it pays if shooting film regularly....the satisfaction of doing yourself too!

You are aware of the Agfa Vista 200 film that you can get from Poundland right? It's a very respectable film, with good latitude and a nice colour palette. Sure, it doesn't make the processing any cheaper (especially if you don't have your own scanner), but many places will process & scan for £3-4 - and you can always collect a small number of rolls that need developing before posting, to save on postage costs.

My F2 and FM don't get nearly as much use as they should, and I suppose I could let them go, but I doubt if I ever will. I'm not normally sentimental about 'stuff' but I bought the F2 new in Hong Kong in another life, and we've been together for a long time. It has a lot of history on it. The FM? Well, they go for peanuts now. I'm not that desperate for a trivial amount of money, and they're pretty common, so I'm not depriving an enthusiast of anything.
