Unbelievable

Prick. End of!!!!

the courts are a joke in this country...I would have given him life.

No you wouldn't, because as the judge that option wouldn't have been open to you.

I agree with your sentiment though.

Only six years? Seems low considering the multitude of offenses. And what about his friends that helped him do this?

I dare say a nice young man like that may have more than his fair share of those in the near future.

I doubt it. He will go to Strangeways (like they all do in this area) for a few weeks to learn the prison system and to see what happens if you don't keep your nose clean, then on to a soft prison. In a couple of years he will be a guest speaker at speed awareness courses.

Also. ..hire car?
Who hired it to him?
Any hire company giving it directly to him should face some harsh enquiries.
If it was hired to someone with a full licence, they should face some kind of repercussions for allowing him to drive it IMO.

The daily mail report suggests that his mate hired the car and then gave it to him. What a plonker.

I wonder whether the judge was allowed to have the sentences run one after each other. I also hope that the six ban commences after his jail sentence as otherwise there is no point. Although I doubt it will stop this character from driving anyway. Neither him nor his mates have any regards for rules.

Whilst his sorry letter was nice, it doesn't come across as genuine. Especially considering he was "bragging" it is only 12 months in prison. Not the words of someone who actually cared about what he did.

Can't see the ban stopping people like this,no full licence anyway so he'll probably just carry on.
The fact he makes light of it and says he won't be doing real time in a proper prison p***es me off even more.

He knows that he will walk away with his actions, having very little affects on his life, for me at least 10 years prison, and a life ban from diving

Hopefully his lack of genuine remorse (as opposed to the fake remorse in the letter his lawyer probably wrote for him) will be taken into account when considering him for early release.
