Where do i start ,,, UltraPro 300 Compact Flash Head ,,,,

Start here then - solid build ... just as good as Bowens ,,

fired up stand - Pneumatic lighting stand STA003 .... hell this is a strong ,,, nothing going to make this bend.

Head - fast return time - perfect colour - and white ..

offft - cable connection ,,, poor ,,,

will i buy another 300 ,,, yes i will ,, thou ,, cable connection needs to be more secure

As I told you, poor cable connection is just a fact of life, it affects all makes equally.

Many years ago, cable to camera connectors were solid drawn, they fitted tightly and securely as long as the camera connector was of the perfect size. Now, instead of being drawn, they are split. They will fit any camera but they work loose and need to be adjusted.

Best get a radio trigger, and keep the PC cable handy as a backup.
 
Nikon use a "regular" sync socket with an outer thread. So you can use a normal cable (which may or may not fit) or their super expensive one which had a ring the lock it in place.

A lighting manufacturer could invent something similar for their end.

Better mousetrap and all that....
