Immigration is not a bad thing. It does need to be controlled, but I believe that it generally enriches our culture and workforce. I am sure that if you (shock horror) decided to move to another country, you'd claim to be of benefit to that state.
Of course if you are finding the situation here so awful, you could always exercise your right and move to one of the less populated areas like Finland, Sweden, Croatia, Ireland, Bulgaria etc...

I never said it was a bad thing, but the UK is a small country and the 4th most populated in Europe - anyone with any common sense would see that it is silly for the likes of Holland, Belgium and UK to take more people when there are many countries with much more space.

It enriches our country if those people have skills, which is why i said we should adopt the Aussie system
 
The population of the entire world is rising. There are a few places where this is not so, but mostly those have severe weather problems or major gelogical or disease problems.

It is going to get far worse before it gets better, if it ever does?. The Uk can not isolate itself for ever. It has no idea how to do that anyway.

Rats go mad when they are confind in inadequate space... we are very like rats even now.

Most of our food is imported there is no way we could feed the existing population from our farms.

Agree they are more efficient, other than perhaps a few mansion blocks I don't know of any that stand the time architecturally nor as a nice place to inhibit. Houses aren't large as they are in the UK, but large doesn't have to mean expensive. It is us who are making it expensive and paying overinflated prices for them...

The overinflated prices are caused by lack of supply in areas where people actually want to live so the answer is build more affordable units, and to build as space efficiently as possible.

When you build more in the areas people want to live they'll become areas people used to want to live ;) The overinflated prices have only one cause, people paying them, it really is that simple...
 
Thing is there is no answer... as we Iive longer and advance medically, the population will shoot up to the point there will be a massive war and we virtually wipe ourselves out.

I really do believe that many things that happen are mother nature trying to solve the problem. If you think about it global warming is the answer, wipe out a few billion to keep things going! I am sure we will see more, newer diseases and epidemics as nature tries to stem the population.
 
Close the bloody gates and give our own people a chance of a life .

That would mean a huge cull, not just limited to foreigners like myself. There is no way it can produce enough food. Besides, just look around you, too many British citizens are seriously overweight, they wouldn't know what to do with fresh food from the land.

I wouldn't start with foreigners. I'd start with the willingly economic inactive, move onto drug addicts and criminals, the folk that hate Britain yet chose to blight us with their presence.

I agree too many are overweight and will be a huge drain on the NHS, but natural selection will weed them out.

No it won't, because (1) it's not a genetic issue, and (2) natural selection doesn't operate in industrialised human societies.

Societal pressure might in principle weed them out, but it isn't doing so at present.

Have you been to Glasgow recently then another city. Its a dump. I was in Madrid then back in Glasgow and the difference staggering not only in architectural quality but in quality and behaviour of people. London is about the only UK city that can match a nice city abroad IMHO.

Seriously? We needed food imports during the 2nd world war even with our adult male population out of the country and every available garden turned into a veg patch.

And with rationing too.
