Is it just me? Am I the only one having problems with really ugly colour banding in Photoshop CC 2017? It's actually not just CC 2017 as I've been getting this issue for a long time.
At first I thought the problem was my camera but now I think it might be Photoshop.
I like taking landscapes and cityscapes. I use a Canon 5DS, shoot full RAW at 100 ISO and I always get really nasty cyan/magenta banding in clouds or cloudy skies and really ugly banding in clear skies. I work at 16bit and use ProPhotoRGB.
I recently started using Capture One and I noticed that my skies look perfect in this software but the second I export to Photoshop the banding appears again.
Does anyone else have this problem? Am I just doing something wrong? Is there a way to prevent this?
Thanks.
SJ.
