I`m going to Sicily again soon, any tips for catching some bass from the shore.

Got a decent travel rod and reel that i`m leaving in the house, need some tips on bait,rigs,lures etc.

Don`t give yourself a heart attack whilst answering..........

Mebbee, but i`m doing it the traditional British way, I do everything else their way, but I won`t do that!

So if you are leaving the rod and reel in the house, how the Feck do you expect to catch anything?

Not really too sure what the Bass will be doing out there Ade :shrug: Looking at a few sites it seems that Wrasse are more prolific, but could be wrong. Anyhow I would go with a small spinning rod and reel and use either some sinking jelly lures or some surface poppers. Go steady and don`t end up in hospital , you could always take that pooooofy mate of yours and drop him in

Hmmmmm............got an 12 surf rod, could be too heavy for spinning, will have a look and may get a cheapy out there,thanks bud.

An 8-9 ft would be better suited Ade. Just don`t go buying one of these pieces of sheeit Are you just fitting in some fishing or is it a fishing holiday? If you fancy picking me up on the way M8 I will come with you, I can be your bitch for the week, cook clean and wait on you

Just fitting some fishing in whilst the wife decorates, i`ll buy a rod down there Rich, be easier and cheaper.
