I agree, and I also agree that most of the people who choose to have a large SUV never actually use them for the designed purpose, and are just adding to the problem for no good reason.
I see this all the time, at clay pigeon shooting clubs, with large numbers of very large, very expensive and normally new range rovers etc that are second cars, normally used only to go clay shooting. If I can navigate the tracks in my little shopping trolley, so can they.
And I also agree that many of the drivers simply can't cope with the power and are inadequate drivers.
Until earlier this year, and for about 14 years, I had a very heavy, very capable off-roader that I needed to have. Sometimes I would have to park it in a city, and doing so wouldn't justify vandalism by these idiots.
Perhaps I should suggest to them that as military aircraft cause an enormous level of pollution, they should try letting the tyres down at air force bases
