correct me if I'm wrong but surely getting someone to pose sort of defeats the essence of street photography? what if i take a shot looking down to a street from the top of a tall building with a massive lens? Empire States perhaps... thats a challenge!

Just sent them an e mail, telling them how impossible it would be to comply.
The gist of my e mail was that say in a street with say 50 people in it, are they all going to stand still for an hour or so while we collect signatures and in this time prevent anyone else from entering the street

I'm sorry, but what is the legal reasons for #6. When you take a picture of people in a public road, and this picture is to be sold for profit -- do you really need permission from the subjects?

I always thought that if it was in a public place, there was no need for that.

I don't know if there is any legal reason for #6 but if there is it's likely to be because this the the law in one European country so to ensure thay can enter the competition fairly the rule is applied to everyone. :shrug:
