spose! Meh, I might aswell let you guys in charge, you can sort it :P you know what you're fdoing

Okay, we're just over a week and a half away from the event, I wondered if it might be a good idea to sticky this thread or create a new one and sticky that with a definitive list of who's going, what time we're meeting, where we're meeting, sharing mobile numbers or whatever.

Good idea. I've stickyfied this thread. I'd suggest we all meet up on the zoo car park fairly early?

Cheers CT.

Zoo car park would seem like a pretty good idea, we should get t-shirts made that say TALK PHOTOGRAPHY CREW on the back so we can easily identify each other ;)

LOL Having done one of these zoo meets before, it shouldn't be a problem... just look for the group with more baggage than a bunch of Nepalese sherpas. ;)

Looking forward to it, till it comes to posting pictures on here, might leave those for my cousins little girl, she liked the last lot we gave her from chester zoo, should be some good pictures from most of you though. will be good to see the results and see how they differ from my attempts :)

Okay so, definitive list: - post below and I'll add you to the list.

LMAO

I'll just take my rucksack that has everything in it, although I would think I'll be doing most of the shooting with the 75-300. Might have to have a go with your 100-400 Ian and see if its worth a purchase ;)

Can have a go, but it is definitely worth the purchase ! :)

Believe me if you take everything you will regret it ! I carried everything last time and ended up knackered lol The 100-400 never came off the camera !

The lowepro micro trekker doesn't weigh anything anyway - even with the three lenses in it. Sue reckons its lighter than her bag anyway. I fancy taking the macro just in case I get any flower oppertunities, and I'll take the kit lens in case we get close up to any animals and/or we decide to do some group photos :p

Hi

Just sat in chilling tonite dude, but yea i'm tagging along with bod :D

I'll be bringing my 100-400 and my second body with a 17-40L and maybe my Macro lens and flash. So just leaving the 24-70L at home

And you said I was fetching too much :p

I fancy a flashgun, Jessops £99.99 special or the Canon 430ex? £50 difference

I thought as much, onestop are the cheapest at £149.99 including delivery, might have to get one ordered.

I'll be leaving with SDK's 100-400L... but he doesn't know it yet

Darksaber said:
Right thats the 430ex ordered, hopefully it should arrive before Twycross :)
Good choice. Mine arrives tomorrow :D Can't wait!!

So then, lets define fairly early

The zoo opens at 10 - are we talking a meet up at about 9:00-9:15am in the car park? or is that too early?

hmmmm do you realise what time we will have to get up to get there for that time

I would have thought 10 - 10.30am would be more reasonable, especially for those who have to travel a long way. It's no biggy if anyone doesn't make the meet-up on the car park anyway, as long as you have someone's mobile number to get in touch with the group. Anyone who wants my moby number can PM me. :)

You said that like you've said it before...floozy :p

I think 10-10:30 is a more reasonable time.

IIRC It's going to take around 2-3 hours for me personally to get there, and that's from Manchester. There are a few people coming from further arent there?

The meet time is fine with me - I'll be setting off approx 9:30
