TV stations in the U.S. recently began airing a Canon Rebel XSi commercial with a twist: the majority of the 30 second spot was shot with EOS-1D Mark IIIs for a powerful visual effect when the photos - shot simultaneously from different angles by ten different photographers - are sequenced together. With Canon USA's permission, we're hosting the commercial here.

There was an animated puppet film wasn't there which was shot with Canon 1DMK2ns? Can't remember the name of it. :thinking:
 
Interesting that the advert is for one camera model, but the pictures are then taken with another model. I thought it was supposed to be illustrative of the capabilities of the camera being advertised.

My thoughts exactly. Although it says in the text on the website that the pictures were taken on 'EOS cameras', the ad itself does give the impression that they were taken on that particular model. The only disclaimer is that 'weatherproof cameras' were used on the shots in the ... err ... rain. Quite miselading IMVHO.

Having said that, but for the fact that the shots are of a 3rd rate sport, it's a good ad.
 
VERY MISLEADING. how many people going to wreck there 450d thinking it is weather proof?

id take it that it is linked to rather than embedded removes the need for permission:shrug:

No we're not, its an RSS feed from RobGalbraith.

If you look underneath and click the link that says "From RobGalbraith.....more" (which kinda gives it away), youll see that they have it embedded on their site.

I simply then provided a link to the Canon website..
