I am talking about those so-called cruise ships where you can apparently have beer as an appero and chaps don't wear ties at dinner. What is the matter with them - aren't they proud of their public schools or regiments? The only cruise I did was an "educational cruise" around the med, many many years ago.
Millions of school kids to a few unrelated adults.
I was that riff raff![]()

The family in those ads are a horrible bunch, pushy, greedy and self centred. I can’t see what the ads are aiming for unless it’s “go on holiday with us and meet a load of selfish ignorant slobs when you get there”.I just found another that made me chuckle,
"on the beach"
It seems the tag line is "booking genius"
But the narrators accent makes it sound like "Fooking genius"![]()
They have to do something to get noticed, over the other holiday companies,The family in those ads are a horrible bunch, pushy, greedy and self centred. I can’t see what the ads are aiming for unless it’s “go on holiday with us and meet a load of selfish ignorant slobs when you get there”.
The roger.com adOr bingo
McDonald's ads, I've never had a Big Mac that looks like the one in the ads or even the menu.
Exactly...
Gala bingo around the chase quiz programme
yeah. The first time it happened I thought maybe The Thames had burst its banks, or some other disaster. What are the TV channel or the advertisers thinking?Even adverts found their way onto/into 6 nations coverage.
Not only that, on loads of programs you get a "What next" slot just before the ads and a "catch up" slot just after so you watch some bits multiple times, I'm the content is only about 30minutes long but takes an hour or more so nowadays and hour and 5 minutes. Not only do we get far to many adverts we now have " Sponsored by " and what are these ? Yes More adverts
How long until we have program breaks ?
Agreed!I find those St James ads that bookend Sky Arts programs totally patronising and boring.
