I promised to produce a quick tutorial on this subject in another thread (which I now can't find)...
Anyway, a graduated specular highlight is like a diffused specular highlight except that the light source is normally a large silk, lit unevenly to create a graduated effect.
We use it to light lenses and similar "impossible" subjects.
