Turo car rental.

Me and the wife are off for a road trip later in the year which will include Yellowstone, Colorado Springs, Bear tooth highway to name but a few. Rather than hiring a car from the major rental companies my son (who lives in the US) has suggested we try renting via Turo he hasn't used the service as he has his own car. Has anyone had experience of Turo and the advantages or pitfalls we should look out for?

Have you googled their reviews? I think you’d have more chance of seeing real life expectancies than posting in a British photo forum.

check trustpilot and alike for reviews and remember that people are far more likely to tell of bad experiences than vice versa.

Doug DeMuro of youtube uses it a lot, but then he is sponsored by them so I guess he wouldn’t have much bad to say.

From what I can gather it’s basically a car variant of Airbnb.

Seems a great idea and like said above, Doug DeMuro raves about the service.
Gotto be better than a standard car rental....
