Turning off a LR preset

Hoping this is a quick one.

If I have processed an image and then try a few presets but decide I don't want any of them. Is there a way of going back to my previous processed state?

I realise I can do an edit>undo if I have only tried one preset but what if I have tried numerous before wanting to revert back.

On the left side in develop mode (the same one as the preset list) there should be a history section. You can use that to jump back to before specific edits were made.

I've never needed the history so never had to look for it.

If you want to go right back to the start you press the Reset button on the bottom right.
That works even for an image that you've saved, your raw original is always untouched.
 
Also great is the snapshots - if you get a look you like, but want to go crazy on trying something else out, you can save a snapshot (just above the history) - that way you can always jump back to what worked with just one click (alternatively you could use virtual copies etc... very flexible LR!).
 
Cheers everyone. Never tried the snapshot, only ever used the virtual copy method so might take a look at that.
 
I never understood why the Undo Feature on lightroom only goes back one step -_-

Surely theirs a key combo that will let you step backwards though the history without having to waste time finding the history pane buried underneath the presets and step back that way.

ctrl + Z

This also works on almost any other windows programs.
 
Away from my computer at the moment, but doesn't it have two options. Undo and step backwards. The latter allowing you to go back through several steps?
 
For future reference, this where virtual copies come in handy, as they allow you to have an infinite numbe of edits of the same shot
