Evening all,
I have been using a TTL off camera flash cord from Jessops for when I'm shooting in nightclubs and am finding that the flash is not firing all the time. If I stick the flash directly on the hot shoe mount it fires every time without fail, so the problem is definitely with the cable and not the flash.
I am on my second cable in 4 months and this latest one is now playing up. Seems to be fine when new but after a couple of months starts playing up. Could be wear and tear on the connections at each end coming loose possibly? I would have thought it would have lasted a little longer though and at £30 a pop it's getting expensive!
Has anyone else had problems with these or can anyone advise on the 'proper' canon cable - at £60 ish this is doubly expensive but if it's made better might be a safer bet. They do say 'you buy cheap you buy twice' but it is only a cable!!
Cheers.
