Been thinking about these 2 for a while and decided to finally take the plunge.

Now away to see how they perform

Looks like i will be pestering you for a shot of the mp65

Is that the new 24mm?

Be intresting to see the results from the TS-E 24 been toying with the idea of one of them for a while.

Its the Mk1 George, The Mark 2 is at warehouse express for £2394.00, The mark 1 was £1094.00

Cosmix will post some shots later with it, been playing around this morning with the tilt and its amazing what you can get with so little movement, tried one shot at f3.5 on a pen sitting on text at 45 degrees, only keeping the pen in focus, it certainly does its job

Yea, Trev, the new ones are one h**l of a price!!

Thats why I went for this one George, so I coulde get the other lens at the same time. Although I will use the TS a fair bit, I couldn't justify over £2000

Test shot using tilt , text parallel with camera, camera pointing down at 30 degrees, pen at 45 degrees, f3.5

The shot from it looks good. Thanks.

Test shot...

Just to get my head round this... with a standard lens you'd have for example 'TDK' in focus and then a bit of text slightly closer in focus running in a line horizontally across the image. Unless you cropped and rotated afterwards.

Here, you have managed to get a line of focus running across the image at 45°, which must mean that the nib is closer to the lens than the far end of the pen.

So how does that work? Why isn't there text in focus?

Good pic that Trev!

These two will keep you occupied for hours Trev....they never cease to amaze me with the effects or detail you can capture with them.

Thats the beauty of TS cameras or lenses 68lbs, you can throw the focus around within limits to the plane you want. Very handy in studio still life or product, main use though is for architecture, prevents converging verticals and keeps the whole building in focus should you have to take an image from an angle. Even portraiture, can use the movements to get rid of unwanted reflections in mirrors and glass.

I'd love to go back to a full 5x4 technical camera but its all the hastle of developing and scanning that puts me off, so I decided to go the digital route, although a bit limited compared to the real deal.

Possible CPE-2 up for sale soon :)

Bit of info on tilt/shift lenses here

"Everything in focus from near to far and I only had to stop down a couple of stops so my shutter speed is a more reasonable 1/500 or 1/1000 of a sec, which should stop the wind motion."

I knew about the perspective correction but never ealised they could enable you to do this. How much was that...? Two grand! :gag:

Great picture.

I want to have a play with one of these now
