Daily T's 365 challenge..... Life begins at 40......

Works for me too :) I'm such a natural light fiend, I applaud anyone who can get nice photos in the dark!!

I LOVE THAT!! From the subject to the composition to the DOF and focus and everything - even how the pink lights lead in to the pink hair tie you have there!

still a great shot T :D

I always look forward to seeing your shots. I love today's concept, but I cant make up my mind about it, but it made me look more than once and that to me is always a good thing

I really like this - the subject, the soft tones and the little pink lights. :)

Works for me :D

Thank you Sarah:thumbs:

Thanks Toni that means alot.. i much prefer daylight but i keep doing other stuff then panicking..... not having a flash makes in even harder working with the light too

Awww Sam thank you makes me feel loads better now:D

I'm liking that T, I think I need a reading day, I've got a book that I've not hardly looked at that I want to get read before the next is out :bang:

Thanks Matt.... Reading is all i used to do and could quite easily read a book in a day if i got a day to myself... i miss it dreadfully but can't keep away from the camera and processing too lol:D

still a great shot T :D

Thanks you Carol!

I always look forward to seeing your shots. I love today's concept, but I cant make up my mind about it, but it made me look more than once and that to me is always a good thing

Thanks Ferj i always take on board your comments tho i did miss replying to your other one. sorry lol...... to be honest i'm not at all happy with this and do see it as making the best of a bad shot..... the concept was what i wanted but because my settings were incorrect the shot was just poor to say the least so editing was limited to cover what i could....... a shot to come back to i think!

I really like this - the subject, the soft tones and the little pink lights.

Thanks Lynn:thumbs:

I like it :) Great processing again! What are you reading?

Thanks Jake.... i am actually bookless at the minute, this was one i had read already.... it's The Diceman by Luke Rhinehart.......Weird very wierd but excellent read and makes you think....

i love the way we seem to be an observer, perhaps through a window..the dreamy effect, the distant reader not complete in the frame because focus is on the book. the pages looking sharp to me, loosely springing up..

Some really nice shots since I last popped by. The nail polish is a fine shot, really nice colours. But I love the flower shot in particular. The processing and composition is really nice.

Woohoo today i made a point of getting my photo taken and processed early....... finally... now to keep it up and be calmer come evening time.....

I had wanted to go out with the camera today seeing as it was lovely sunshine... but the wind!!... plus i had made a pact that not only would i do photo early i would also catch up on proper housework!.... yuk!!

But... i was a good girl for once and now sat chilling in peace and quiet feeling rather pleased!.....

Day 30/365... A little sparkle... by Cg_girl, on Flickr

That's gorgeous, T - I love the colours!

Got to love a bit of bling :D Love the little bokeh jewels in the background too

Would comment on the DOF, but don't want you getting a big head :p

absolutely wonderful :D Great shot, great bokeh and the colours are lovely

Looks very nice, I did loads of jewellery shots a few years ago for a shop. Nearly drove me mad trying to make everything look perfect.

Thanks Sarah.... i can imagine!:D

Well today....... not sure if it's a Marmite shot or a true f up..... lol.......does it work? doesn't it?... that is the question......it's good to question ourselves but sometimes i wish i didn't or at least i wish i didn't as much...........

I went out first thing again today although i could have kicked myself as on the way in to the next village i spot a rainbow... so pull over thinking YES DAY 31 done at 9am............. to discover yet again i had left sd card in laptop!!!......

Back home i go and off to get some shopping as well as detour for card, but to be honest it was so windy it was a nightmare.... i was taking a few graffiti shots in an underpass when i see the sun glinting on these railings above.....now first off i spent ages trying to process and keep the colour version to see the slight yellow reflecting... but it just didn't work.. if i increased saturation or gradient the railings went blue instead of keeping the silver....so in the end i had to resort to mono......

Day 31/356.....Behind Bars..... by Cg_girl, on Flickr

Mono works. Very well. I love Marmite and I love this. The processing works very well and the different angles and levels add all the interest you need, it;s a keeper!

Have to agree with Sam and Vince - works brilliantly in Mono - you still get the feel of the silver from the shadows

Yep, works for me too, I think that unless they were a complete "opposite" colour from a very blue sky - then mono would have been the only way to go.

I hate Marmite, but really like this! It looks like it should be a huge sculpture. the processing works well and its a great abstract

Love the marmite image. Actually I don't think it's marmite at all. What's not to like?

They work very well in mono Trace. Well spotted.

texture and contrast... i love it.. the converging lines are terrific

I think that the mono works  but that jewelry one is brill  I really like that because the overall tones on the setting match the jewelry

Ok i'm going to address you all on this one... not because i'm lazy but because my answer is the same to you all.... firstly thank you... thank you for the unbelieveable support you all offer, I'm not sure i would be able to continue if it wasn't for the support we give each other and it is such a huge learning curve too!.....

Anyway enough of the mushy stuff.. you'll all think i'm a soft girly!!!

I think my problem lies with lack of confidence with what i do... maybe it's the processing side.... i know i see a photo opportunity in so many things.. but it's almost like last minute i seriously doubt everything i do.... not saying that's a bad thing... to a degree... but i'd like sometimes to feel a bit more confident!:bonk::bonk:

Anyway my little honey monsters.... i thank you all.. you guys are super awesomesauce

I know just what you mean here Trace :( It is hard sometimes to think as others would about our images. I have that a lot of the time when I am looking around for something to do for the POTD and I find I have slipped back into the comfort zone of flowers and birds. I dont think the weather has helped any of us tbh - rain and winds are not the best weather to be shooting in and so we have had to think outside the box and for people like you and me it isnt easy when we doubt our own work anyway. We have to keep remembering that what we think is rubbish may be good to someone else - look at Sarah (Sonriendo) - she thought her last shot was 'crap' but everyone thought it was great :) We might just have to learn to look at things through other peoples eyes :D (listen to me preaching and not practising  ) or just take the shot if we like it and go with it :) I hate PP as well - never seem to get it just right so think we both might need to give each other tips there
You are doing brilliantly and I, for one love your work :D Keep going hun and you know we are always behind you

Yep, we all have times when our confidence fails & we feel what we do isn't good enough & we don't know how to process something. I know I do.

But at least on here, we can all give each other the push to keep going & the confidence and also help with any problems on how to photograph or process an image.

Anyway, enough of the soft girly stuff or people will be thinking I secretly wear barbie pink as well!

you can stick a tongue out all you want... but i know you secretly wear barbie pink... :naughty:

Damn it boy you will get your ass kicked for that!:bat:;)
