Daily T's 365 challenge..... Life begins at 40......

Well tonight was a bit of a quick one because, as it was pointed out to me.i have been . deleting important drivers on my laptop!.... oops!..( not intentionally)!......
I'm fed up with no ram space or ps and lightroom either crashing or not responding... so my original plan was to wipe the whole thing.... but knowing what i am like i thought i would try the safer option of a major clean up.... how wrong could i be!.... dvd drive no longer works and i deleted the volume/audio from laptop!... (chuckle)....
As i said it was a bit of a quick one as a result so a few niggles here and there ( one is annoying me but it means starting over and i just can't face it now even tho i know it will bug me)....so maybe at a later point i will do a re-shoot and get it like it was in my head....

Ps i will promise to catch up on replies asap and your feeds!.. i know i'm not that behind but i do worry if i lag!

oh now that is really cool. it works brilliantly congrats
Thank you Tim.. it wasn't quite what i wanted but close enough! and i was getting cold outside lol

So what do you focus on and how do you know to be in the right place? (Never done selfies before where I've focused then got in shot - only done a few and was using a remote.) Fun shot and it works.

Mostly i use remote trigger but i needed both hands for this which is why i struggled... i took a large plant stand out and focused on that, put the 10 sec timer on and then run for it move stand throw snow over me and crouch into position...... believe me 50 plus times doing that i had had enough:lol:

i  those gloves... so fluffy.. you've captured them brilliantly

..and getting your eye and lips through the gaps is stroke of genius.

Awww thank you Kev :hug2:

Oh, I actually really like that :D

Focus on the gloves looks fine and the soft focus on your face is excellent.

Thanks Sarah!

Great shot :D Looks like you are becoming a SP expert :) Some great ones of you :D

Haha i'm becoming not so scared but still feel robotic lol... thank you Carol

Good shot indeed and unusual perspective.

Was going to say there seems be a spot on the eye, then realised it's a mark on my monitor :bang::D:D

Haha thank you sounds like my screen!

Great shot T, really like the processing on this one.

Thanks Jake!

Love the way you've captured the gloves & well done on another SP.

Thank you Sarah!

That is a nice shot! Love the 2 before as well. Both really strong shots. Love the processing on the feet shot. And I just like the other one cos, well, cos I do!

Hahahaha thank you Conor!

Your gloves photo is brilliant, Trace! and just a sneaky-peek at your face behind! :)

Haha thanks Sam!

The things we do to get the shot! Well done - you may have had some 'misses' but you did get the shot - worth persevering with.

As Lynn said - the lens looks like it is popping out of the screen - well done  (and PS the stick will be in the post tomorrow :) sorry its taken me so long - not been near the PO)

Thanks Matt... I'm Just outside, closer to Daventry.. In Long Buckby...

^^ This. Great job!!

Thanks Toni!

loving the classic looking down the barrel of a gun shot, you have a knack for the faded pastel effect..........

................................. still think the clone idea would have worked. ;)

I like your processing on the lens, I think it works very well, and i'm a big fan of the dreamy low contrast selfy. Hope you get some reason and feel better again soon!

Hope you get better soon Trace, must have caught a chill going out in the cold, with the camera. At least that's why I think I'm feeling a bit yuck this morning.

I think I've been rather lucky really with all the bugs that have been going around for ages so I guess expected.... You're right tho getting chilled with snow and camera probably hasn't helped!..
Hope you don't get it..keep wrapped up :-)

Lovely shot T :) Hope you feel better soon :) This weather doesnt help at all :( OH has the same and is 'dying in his bed' I just leave him to it now

I know how you feel :hug2: mine was just a post and run last night too. Hope you feel better today.

Right I'll see if we can arrange to meet up if you want and I'll drag my tech support guy over with me and see if we cannot get you running on the computer side of things again

Still not feeling so great but not too bad i tried messing with the camera this afternoon but was disappointed with results!.. eek x10000000... so waited for the Rat to go to bed thinking noooo i can't subject these people to a rudolph impersonator so another self portrait was out of the question......
I enjoyed playing with light graffiti at the beginning of this challenge so decided to try it with an object... so placing this fake flower (lol) on a piece of black card and i had to use a black cushion behind it because that is all i had... i set the camera up.. focused.. switched to manual focus to lock it in...and got my little led torch....
i just used a 2 sec timer but i'm going to try with other objects so 10 seconds might be best....
Quickly turned the light out STUBBED MY TOE ON RAT'S SCOOTER...clicked camera and lightly swept the torch over the flower without getting my hand in the way....

Seriously little work in Lightroom so i am off to get myself some flowers and have more of a play...

Ps.... you really don't need to stub your toes on a scooter for this to work.... trust me it hurts and makes no difference to th shot..... x
