Hey there :)

Looking for some advice. I'm in the process of buying a new Nikon D5000 and very nearly bought one from Dontons! Luckily my wits were about me, did some research on this forum in-fact and learned that it really wasn't advisable to shop there, so thanks for that. :P

So then I did some searching on Google Shopping to find the next best deal for the D5000 and came across PIXMania.co.uk, who advertise the camera for £459 with lens kit included. The whole Dontons realisation has thrown my trust for Internet camera sellers off the grid, so I'm asking if anyone's shopped at PIXMania or had any experience of their trade? Just want to make sure before I hand them over a big bag of money. Their site looks legit to me, but then I very nearly satisfied Dontons' need to scam people so what do I know eh?

Pixmania are legit I think, I bought a camera from them back in 2006 - unless they went bankrupt and somebody has taken their name or something I think you'll find they are a legitimate trader.
 
I've bought plenty from pixmania & never had a problem!
 
I seem to remember having an issue with them though, my camera came about a week late and when you are waiting for a camera for a week and customer service are useless it hurts.

Pixmania is owned (90%) by the DSG group these days (Dixons etc), they had some issues back a few years with fraud but as the other members have pointed out, their warehouse is in Paris so you will probably get french manuals. You should however get an adapter with it.
