Does anyone have one of these? I'm leaning towards getting one, but have a couple of q's...

I already have an Interfit Stellar 150w studio light - will it work with that? And also, I'm in the market for a slightly bigger light - upwards of 300w. I know that the Lencarta range gets good reviews, but will they work with the Tronix?

I'd rather go down the 'separates' route when it comes to external power so as to leave my options open for future expansion...

Cheers

I have used an explorer XT for outdoor location work for the last 12 months on 2 x BX500RI elinchroms and have worked flawlessly, the inverter is a really well put together piece of kit and would certainly recommend it.

Can you give an estimate as to how many flashes you can get using the Explorer ?

I know it depends on the flash power etc etc, but any real-world advise gratefully received.

Hi jeremy, when i shoot outdoors its generally a half day (4 hours), I cant remember using these at full power, generally round about half or less, obviously depending on what Im trying to achieve, I nearly always shoot about 300 images and the units lo-charge has never been lit yet. I'll stick my neck out here and would say 600+ shots would be achievable. I ran it to flatten the other week with my fan on full blast,it ran for about 3 hours. I dont think it will disappoint you, just be sure its compatible with your flash heads.
