Thanks guys going to add it to my wishlist on Amazon

I got annoyed carrying mine around my shoulder when hiking and despite a long search couldn't find a rucksac I was happy with..including F Stop amongst others. I bought a dedicated hiking rucksac with a large side pocket and perfect strapping on the back which allows me to carry it centrally, very comfortable now!!

Either stuffed through the adjustable straps on my shoulder bag, or over my shoulder.

I wish my shoulder bag had these straps! Seems like a nice easy way to carry a tripod.

Depends my 3lt Brian sometimes travels in its own bag. Sometimes insides my backpack, sometimes on the side holder, or sometimes on the rear holder of the back back. It all depends on what gear I've got with me.

Straps are for wimps, bags for those that like their toys to stay shiny :D

I just carry mine by hand or across the shoulders, its only about 6-7lbs and if I worried about that weight I really ought to first diet !!!

I also now carry a Gorillapod inside the rucksack

Many years ago I did use a bag for the tripod, it slowed me down a lot and was always being forgotten, in short it was a PITA

I also had one with a chunky strap once too, but that just flaps about in any wind causing the shake the tripod is supposed to be stopping - hence no bag or strap now

I've tried to carry mine using the attachment on the front of both the lowepro flipside 300 & 400, I always found the bags were too unbalanced. This was probably best of the weight of the tripod and head at around 3kg. I've recently changed to a lighter, smaller carbon tripod so the weight is now about 1.5-2kg so I'm hoping it balances better.

I've got used to carrying the tripod by one of the legs, whilst walking its fine but if I needed 2 hands free it could be a problem. I brought a padded bag, whilst its good of storage its never been out of the house or car boot. It's far to big to carry with a backpack.

I use a Acoustic Guitar Strap. I attached to my tripod. U can adjust it for a comfortable fit & it's padded for your shoulder there sold in your local guitar stores don't buy a cheap one buy one that will last & is Comfortable & if U find your perfect setup then u can attach 2 guitar strap holders and ask the guitar store to install them on your tripod some times they will if U ask them hope this helps

I take the head off and store it in the bag, makes the tripod sit much better on the bag

I have the Manfrotto shoulder bag to carry mine around (MBAG80?).
Can start to feel a bit unbalanced at times lugging it around with my gear on the other shoulder if I'm out all day somewhere like London. Especially if I have the ball head attached to it.
But if you want it with you....
