Hi everyone, I just wondered if anyone could suggest a good tripod.
I had a Manfrotto but sadly a vital part of it has sheered off so I was wondering if anyone could suggest a really sturdy, robust tripod that is well made and will stand the test of time!

Many thanks in advance! :-)

Three things:

What's your budget?

What do you want to shoot with it?

What are you going to put on it?

Definitely look at Red Snapper.

BENBO!

I don't really like tripods but centre column jobbies that just go up and down frustrate the hell out of me. I used to have a Manfrotto 055 and I hated it as I just couldn't get the positions I wanted. The Benbo that replaced it feels like it's made to last and it's much more stable and crucially it'll allow me to put it into shooting positions that the Manfrotto 055 could never match.

I'd look at Benbo and Uniloc for outdoor tripods.

Yes there are lots of others, but Gitzo take some beating in more ways than one.

Can recomend the systematic range without a centre column, stable, light and strong

Hi everyone, thanks for the response and apologies for the late reply.

I have managed to order a replacement Manfrotto Tripod (the one which I had before a piece snapped off) however I will look into buying one of the ones you have suggested above as, by the sounds of it, they seem pretty sturdy for the Mostly landscape photography which I do!

Thanks again!!
