anyone tell me what the right name is for one of them stick poles for my camera,taking photos off football i think my arm will start shaking after a while.I have a normal tripod but dont want to set that up each week so thought one of the sticks would be better

That would be a Monopod

Tripod = 3 legs

Logic dictates a tripod with one leg would be a monopod.

Although I agree, stick pole sounds better
