Hi,several years back i purchased the gitzo 1340 symantech carbon fibre tripod .Three legs, This was to use with my 500 f4 lens and wimberly set up.
The tripod did the job very well and i still love it and use it . However i have now sold all my heavy gear and presently my main passion is for landscape work.
As my main locations are in lake district and a fair bit of hiking steep walking etc and due to my age i am looking for a tripod that will better meet my needs.
Due to the size of my gitzo i find i cannot secure to my backpack so it has to be carried all the time and this only leaves one hand free.
I am on the look out for a very sturdy lighweight model that would be ocasionally strapped to my backpack. I am also over six foot so it would need to be a good height.
Not really into centre colums either.Any ideas.
